Finishing is the F-word.
I finished knitting the top-down cable pullover two weekends ago, I wore it around the house, and I even wore it out to a movie. But it badly needs a wash and a block, to remove some of the cat hair and help with the curling hem. But I'm having a hard time bringing myself to wash it and spread it out on a towel. I had enough yarn left over to get started on a Dulaan hat with a pattern that I've always wanted to try, Tychus. And once I got started, I was obsessed and couldn't stop. I have a very dirty house as a result. There were a lot of ends to weave in on this hat. I doubt I'm going to wash it before sending it off, although it might be a good idea, considering the amount of cat dander worked into it. Another Dulaan hat,...

Sweets for the sweet.
This morning I hauled carcass out of bed to make these: Chocolate-chocolate chunk muffins, in heart-shaped muffin cups. We each had one for breakfast, and they are damned rich. The recipe is in Dorie Greenspan's Baking book. Since they are so not on my diet, I'm taking about half the leftovers in to work, where I must haul my carcass five minutes ago.
